Traffic quality
Automated visits can distort analytics. Traffic-quality investigation is planned but is not built, and nothing in your reports is currently filtered or flagged as bot traffic.
What exists today
Metrivue stores a shortened user-agent string with each event so classification can be added later. No classification is applied yet, so every recorded event is counted.
What is planned
- Rules that flag likely automated traffic, with the reason shown for each flag.
- The ability to review flagged traffic before excluding it.
A limit that will remain
No tool can identify every bot. Classification will be an estimate and will be labelled as one.
