Data deletion and privacy requests

Draft. Draft for review. This text describes how Metrivue currently handles data, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not legal advice. It will be replaced with a reviewed version before launch.

You can delete your account and download your data yourself, or ask for help with anything else.

Last updated: 31 October 2026

Do it yourself

  • Log in and open Account settings.
  • Download my data gives you a JSON file with your profile, workspaces, websites, devices, contact messages, and account activity. It does not include raw analytics events or availability-check history.
  • Delete account permanently removes your account and every workspace you solely own. It needs your password. If a workspace you own has other members, you must deal with them first, and a server administrator must revoke admin access before an administrator account can be deleted.

Other requests

  • Use the contact page and say whether you want access, correction, export, or deletion.
  • Send the request from the email address on the account so it can be matched. Never include your password.
  • You may be asked to confirm your identity before anything is changed or deleted.

What deletion covers

Deleting an account removes the user and every workspace the user solely owns, with its websites, collected events, and availability checks. Contact messages you sent while logged in are deleted. Security audit entries are kept but unlinked from you, and short-lived records such as hashed rate-limit counters expire on their own schedule. A confirmation email is sent to the address on the account.

Visitors to a customer's website

Visitor data is held for the website owner who installed tracking. Visitor identifiers are one-way and change daily, so Metrivue generally cannot tell which stored events belong to a particular person. Contact the website owner first.

Response time

A response time commitment has not been set. It will be stated here after the policy is reviewed.

Try it on one website. Nothing is charged.
